Applicability: This Privacy Policy and SMS Terms (“Policy”) governs Stinar Lannen, PLLC and its affiliates (“Stinar Lannen,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) in their operation of StinarLannenLaw.com and any associated mobile or web-based applications (together, the “Site”).

1. About this Policy

This Policy describes the manner in which Stinar Lannen gathers, processes, shares, and protects personal information when you interact with the Site, whether by browsing its pages, completing an inquiry form, or agreeing to receive telephone calls or text messages, including messages transmitted through automated dialing technology. Your continued use of the Site or voluntary submission of personal information constitutes your acceptance of the practices outlined in this Policy.

2. Categories of Personal Information Gathered

We may collect the following categories of personally identifiable information:

  • Device & usage data: IP address, browser type/version, device type, pages visited, date/time stamps.
  • Service data: details you provide when requesting our services, such as medical facts, abuse history, Social Security or ID numbers.
  • Mobile data: your device ID, mobile carrier, and location when you access our services via mobile.

3. How We Use Information

We use your personal information to evaluate potential legal matters, process claims, and communicate with you about your inquiry or representation. We also use it to improve Site functionality, maintain internal records, conduct analytics, and comply with applicable laws, ethics rules, and regulatory requirements.

4. Storage, Sharing, and Third-Party Access

Your information is stored in Stinar Lannen-controlled systems and in secure CRMs or platforms operated by (a) service providers engaged to pursue your claim and (b) vetted service vendors (e.g., texting platform, call center, cloud hosting, analytics). Each vendor or partner is bound by contract to use the data solely to provide services to Stinar Lannen and may not sell it.

We store your information on our own systems and within secure platforms operated by vetted service providers, including CRM, communications, cloud hosting, and analytics tools. Each provider is contractually required to use your data solely to perform services for Stinar Lannen and its authorized agents and is prohibited from selling it. We never sell your personal information for monetary compensation. We will disclose personal information when required by subpoena, court order, bar regulation, or conflict-of-interest screening.

5. SMS, Calls & Disclosures

  • Consent and Opt-Out. We do not sell or share your mobile contact information or SMS consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We may share it with subcontractors that provide support services, such as customer service, on our behalf. All other categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. If you are receiving text messages from us and wish to stop receiving them, simply reply with ‘STOP’ to the number from which you received the message.
  • Note that message frequency varies. Standard message and data rates from your carrier may apply.
  • Every marketing text includes: (i) our identity, (ii) clear opt-out instructions (“STOP”), and (iii) a toll-free contact number so that there is compliance with California § 17538.41.
  • Take notice that calls may be monitored or recorded for quality. If either party is in California, we announce the recording and proceed only with verbal consent.

6. California Privacy Notice (Applicable only to California residents)

  • Regarding information gathered in the preceding twelve months, we have collected the following categories: personal identifiers; commercial and case-related data; internet and electronic network activity; geolocation data; and sensitive personal information provided voluntarily.
  • The purposes for which we use these categories are set forth in Section 3 of this Policy.
  • Personal information is shared solely with service providers who require it to perform business functions on our behalf.
  • Under California law, you have the right to access, correct, and delete your personal information; to know what information we have collected and how it has been used; to opt out of any sharing of your data; to restrict the processing of sensitive personal information; and to exercise these rights free from discriminatory treatment.

  • Stinar Lannen retains personal information only for so long as it is necessary to support active legal representation, satisfy regulatory mandates, or comply with professional record-keeping obligations.
  • Should we ever offer a benefit or promotion in return for your consent to receive text messages, a separate Notice of Financial Incentive will be published explaining how the value of that incentive is calculated.

7. Information Concerning Minors under 13 Years Old

The Site is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

8. Data Security and Retention

We safeguard your personal data through administrative procedures and technical controls, including mandatory multi-factor authentication for accounts. No electronic storage or transmission method, however, can be guaranteed completely secure. Files associated with legal matters are preserved for the duration mandated by applicable law and thereafter securely destroyed or archived.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy periodically. Material changes will be posted with a new effective date and, for SMS programs, announced via text containing a link to the revised terms.
