Jenessa brings over 18 years of experience in legal administration and litigation support, with commanding expertise in personal injury and civil litigation practice areas. She has skillfully orchestrated complex case files involving medical records review, motion practice, and trial preparation, establishing herself as an indispensable force across multiple plaintiff-side law firms in Michigan.
Before joining Stinar Lannen, Jenessa forged her career across several of Michigan’s most respected law firms. At a well-known Michigan litigation firm, she handled employment discrimination matters before advancing to work alongside the firm’s lead trial attorney on high-profile trial preparation, playing a pivotal role in landmark plaintiff victories including a $144 million medical malpractice verdict in Oakland County in 2011 and a sexual assault verdict in Jane Doe v. Superior Ambulance in Wayne County in 2010. Further, at a growing medical malpractice firm, Jenessa played a central role in supporting five attorneys through demanding medical malpractice litigation during the firm’s critical growth phase. At a civil rights and commercial litigation firm, she took on challenging civil rights cases involving the Huron Valley Women’s Correctional Facility and handled appellate work, while also supporting another attorney in commercial litigation matters. Most recently, she served as legal assistant and office manager at a boutique practice focused on auto accidents, product liability, medical malpractice, and nursing home negligence, where she managed the office while handling all aspects of case administration. Jenessa further broadened her expertise in bankruptcy, Social Security disability, and workers’ compensation matters at another boutique Michigan firm.
Jenessa’s demonstrated ability to thrive under pressure in high-stakes, fast-paced environments, while maintaining meticulous attention to detail has established her as an invaluable member of any litigation team. At Stinar Lannen, Jenessa drives case file management, court filings, and client coordination, ensuring that each matter advances seamlessly and that clients receive the dedicated, responsive representation they deserve.
