Skylar Hamama is a law clerk at Stinar Lannen, where she supports attorneys in complex civil litigation matters, with a focus on mass tort sexual abuse cases. She contributes to case development through client outreach, document review, and legal research, and assists with case organization and litigation preparation across all stages of ongoing matters.
Prior to joining the firm, Skylar gained experience in both criminal prosecution and criminal defense, including work with the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit. In these roles, she assisted with legal research, case preparation, and litigation support in matters involving serious criminal offenses.
Skylar earned her Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from Michigan State University, where she was recognized on the Dean’s List and was actively involved in the Pre-Law Society and the National Honor Society of Criminal Justice.
She is currently a Juris Doctor candidate at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, with an anticipated graduation date of May 2027. She is a recipient of the Dean’s Scholarship and the Excellence for the Future Award for outstanding achievement in Legal Research and Communications II. At Detroit Mercy Law, Skylar serves as Secretary of the Chaldean American Law Students Association and is a founding member of the Real Estate Law Organization, where she also serves as Community Outreach and Social Media Manager.
Known for her passion of supporting individuals navigating difficult legal situations, as well as her unwavering commitment to ensuring clients feel heard and supported throughout the legal process, Skylar is a valuable advocate and trusted contributor to Stinar Lannen’s legal team.
